Dr Dolores Angela Castelli Dransart, PhD, is a full professor at the School of Social Work Fribourg at the HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland. Her research focuses on the impact of suicidality and suicide on families and professionals, including stress, trauma, bereavement, life trajectory reconstruction and postvention. Over the past ten years, she has been researching assisted suicide in the Swiss context, examining the associated moral, ethical and deontological issues, as well as the experiences of family members and professionals who have encountered requests for assisted suicide and subsequent deaths. More recently, she has been investigating suicidality among health and social care professionals.
