Imagining Alternatives to Suicide Prevention Through Liveability and Lived Experience

Amy Chandler is Professor of the Sociology of Health and Illness, in the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh (UK). She leads a team of interdisciplinary social scientists working on largely qualitative inquiries into suicide and self-harm. Current projects include Discovering Liveability: Coproducing alternatives to suicide prevention, and Suicide Cultures: Reimagining Suicide Research, both funded by Wellcome.
